These Terms of Service apply to purchases made from Uncle Jerry’s Sharpening & Sharpening Supplies and use of our online store.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Uncle Jerry’s Sharpening & Sharpening Supplies is a Canadian small business located in British Columbia.

We sell sharpening supplies and related products, including abrasive belts, sharpening wheels, accessories and other sharpening equipment and supplies.

2. Prices and Currency

Unless otherwise stated, all prices shown on our website are in Canadian dollars.

Applicable GST, HST, PST or other sales taxes will be added where required by law.

Prices may change without notice. The price applicable to an order is the price shown when the order is placed, subject to correction of obvious pricing or website errors.

3. Orders

Submitting an order does not necessarily guarantee that the order can be fulfilled.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order because of product availability, an incorrect price or product description, suspected fraud, payment problems or another reasonable business reason.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled portion of the order will be refunded.

4. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, sizes, specifications, photographs and prices are accurate.

Minor differences in appearance, colour, packaging or labelling may occur.

Customers are responsible for confirming that a product is appropriate for their equipment and intended application before using it.

If you are uncertain whether a belt, wheel or other product will fit your equipment, please contact us before ordering.

5. Abrasive Belts and Sharpening Products

Abrasive belts, grinding wheels, sharpening wheels and related products must be used with appropriate equipment and in accordance with the equipment and product manufacturer's instructions.

Customers are responsible for using appropriate guards, personal protective equipment and safe operating procedures.

Products must not be operated beyond their manufacturer's specifications or used on equipment for which they are not designed.

6. Shipping

Orders are shipped to the address provided by the customer at checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Shipping charges are shown during checkout where applicable.

Delivery dates and transit times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Carrier delays, weather, remote delivery locations and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.

Nothing in this section limits any delivery or cancellation rights provided to consumers by applicable law.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order after delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order information and, where appropriate, photographs showing the problem.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, refund or other reasonable solution.

8. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are subject to our Return and Refund Policy.

Products should not be returned without contacting us first.

Unless required by law or otherwise stated in our Return and Refund Policy, shipping charges are not refundable.

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Product Use and Safety

Sharpening and grinding equipment can cause serious injury when improperly installed or used.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are correctly installed, compatible with their equipment and used safely.

Always follow the instructions and safety requirements provided by the manufacturer of your machine, grinder, sharpener, wheel, belt or other equipment.

Uncle Jerry’s Sharpening & Sharpening Supplies is not responsible for injury, property damage or equipment damage resulting from improper installation, modification, misuse, operation beyond manufacturer specifications or failure to follow applicable safety instructions, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

10. Availability

Product availability may change without notice.

If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we may contact you to offer an alternative, place the item on back order where agreed, or refund the unavailable item.

We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.

11. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our website accurate and current.

Occasionally, information may contain typographical errors, incorrect pricing, inaccurate descriptions or other errors.

We reserve the right to correct these errors.

If a correction materially affects an order that has already been placed, we will contact the customer before proceeding where appropriate.

Unless otherwise stated, the content created for this website, including our business name, original photographs, descriptions, graphics and other original material, may not be copied or used for commercial purposes without permission.

Manufacturer names, trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners.

To the extent permitted by law, Uncle Jerry’s Sharpening & Sharpening Supplies will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the misuse of a product or use of a product contrary to manufacturer instructions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Personal information provided when placing an order or contacting us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Payment information may also be processed by third party payment service providers.
